FMLS Showcase… Thoughts…

Today was the day for the FMLS Showcase.  For those that aren’t familiar, it is the biggest Atlanta area real estate industry trade show each year.  It is put on by the Atlanta Board of Realtors® and sponsored by First Multiple Listing Service.  It has been around for the last ten years…

I was actually pretty shocked.  My personal habit for the last few years has been to arrive early, before the crowds, and quickly make the rounds to see if there were any cool new tools that I could use to better serve my clients or more efficiently run my business.  This year, however, despite my arrival shortly before the doors opened, there was a LONG line and a lot of crowds.  And while I don’t think there were quite as many vendors as years past, there were still some interesting technologies presented.

rebarcamp has always had a connection with technology and tools.  Social Networking, Mobile Tech, Blogging, IDX, Market Statistics, Property Marketing and Computing Tools have been popular subject matters for the attendees.

Expos and trade shows are great places to learn what the new tech tools are… rebarcamp is a great place to learn how to implement the tools IN your business.
